Materiality of Being - Sculpture & Object

Dintiman's three-dimensional work investigates the physical presence of objects — found, made, and transformed — as a means of articulating what resists verbal or pictorial expression. Works in this category emerged in part from extended residency periods, including the Millay Arts residency at Steepletop, where sustained engagement with a single site produced sculpture rooted in observation and material response. The series connect to broader conversations around phenomenology, the politics of the everyday object, and the relationship between studio practice and the natural environment.
